ALA’s Best of Show at PR Xchange Competition Accepting Applications

Libraries everywhere are creating innovative, creative, exciting promotional materials:  newsletters, program announcements, reading celebrations, advocacy materials, fundraising messages and more. Now is the time to receive recognition for your library’s amazing work — the application form for the ALA/LLAMA/PRMS PR Xchange Best of Show competition is now live!

  • Read the Best of Show FAQ
  • Submit your best work now through our online form

The annual Best of Show awards recognize the very best public relations materials produced by libraries in the past year. This year’s competition will recognize original materials produced during the 2012 calendar year. Entries will be evaluated based on content, originality, and design by a team of experts in public relations, graphic design, communications, and marketing who select the winner(s) in each category.

Winning entries will be on display during the PR Xchange program during the ALA Annual Conference in Chicago. Awards will be presented to the winners during a Best of Show ceremony on that day. Award winners need not be present to win, but are encouraged to attend.

The Best of Show awards are sponsored by the Library Leadership Administration and Management Association’s Public Relations and Marketing Section and are overseen by the PR XChange Committee (formerly known as Swap and Shop).

Online entry forms must be completed, and print work postmarked no later than April 1, 2013.

For more information, please visit the Best of Show at PR Xchange page on the LLAMA website or contact Best of Show co-chairs Jamie Hazlitt and Rebecca Metzger at prxchange.bestofshow@gmail.com.

Best of luck to all participants!
