Got Marketing Questions? Get Answers at the Marketing Committee Table Talk!

by Elizabeth Neill and Donna Fletcher

The Marketing Committee will be hosting informal one-on-one coaching on library marketing issues at the ILA Conference in Peoria on Wednesday, October 10th, at 2 pm in Exhibit Hall C. Please bring your questions and concerns and join us!

Our goal is to offer Conference attendees a chance to get answers to very specific questions about library marketing. They might include how to put together a marketing plan, create style guidelines, begin a community engagement effort, create a needs assessment or use programming to reach new audiences. One of the committee members or other marketing experts will be on hand to talk with you individually about your particular interest.

The Marketing Committee is working to create a community of library marketers in Illinois who will share expertise as we encounter new challenges in a time of change. Each committee member has a wealth of marketing experience, and can help guide you to sound marketing practices for your library’s particular issues.

We hope you’ll bring your toughest marketing questions or topics that particularly interest you. Even if you don’t have any questions, please feel free to drop in and say hi!

Elizabeth Neill is the Outreach Librarian at the Bellwood Public Library where she is responsible for programming, publicity and reference work. Donna Fletcher is the president of Donna E. Fletcher Consulting, Inc. and Library Survey Consultants. Her practice includes marketing and strategic planning services for libraries as well as major corporations.
