Avatar Design Contest

From the Nov/Dec 2007 issue of Public Libraries:

Young adults in grades 6-12 in Contra Costa County (California) were invited to create an original avatar – a virtual face that depicts what they think the library looks like. The contest allows teens to showcase their creativity while interacting with peers and library professionals in a way they never could before. Ten finalists were chosen and visitors to the library’s My Space page could vote.
